Poster and Essay Contest

2009/2010 MATTHEW PAUL CARVALHO POSTER CONTEST AND ESSAY CONTEST

MADD Canada recognize the unique perspective and insight of youth, and we encourage their voice in our fight against impaired driving. The poster contest is dedicated to Matthew Paul Carvalho, who was killed by an impaired driver in 1990. MADD Canada also created its writing contest to reach out to our youth, who are often forgotten in the fight against impaired driving. By entering, young people are given the opportunity to express their concerns about impaired driving in a creative way.

MADD London is happy to announce that we have winners in the National Poster contest and essay contest this year.

"You can’t replace me. Don’t drink and drive!"

Once again, MADD London will sponsor a local contest and offer cash prizes for the top three entries in each category for both posters and essays. The deadline for local entries is April 3rd.

Local submissions will automatically be forwarded to MADD Canada for entry into the national contest (the national prizes are $250 for first place, $150 for second place, and $100 for third place). Students are welcome to enter both the poster and the essay writing contests; however, a separate official contest entry form must be attached to each submission.
