Volunteering
Volunteers are the heart and soul of MADD Canada. The organization has more than 100 Chapters and Community Leaders, and some 7,500 volunteers across the country who contribute their time and skills to helping us achieve our mission. MADD Canada volunteers reach out to their local communities, form local partnerships, deliver our programs and form a supportive network for victims.
Our volunteers are making significant contributions in their local communities.
Get Involved
Each year, between 1,350 and 1,600 Canadians are killed and another 68,500 injured as a result of impairment-related crashes. These deaths and injuries are 100% preventable. They can be avoided if people do not get behind the wheels of their vehicles impaired.
MADD Canada works to stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime.
Through our awareness and education programs, we are trying to change behaviours, and make everyone aware that driving when impaired is a criminal and potentially deadly act.
Through our public policy initiatives, we are working to ensure Canada has effective laws which take impaired drivers off the roads and serve both punitive and deterrent functions for anyone who thinks they can drive impaired without consequence.
Through our Victim Services program, we offer support and resources to assist those who have lost loved ones or suffered injuries in impaired driving crashes on their journeys of recovery.
